Filtermart™ Liquid Filters : Pleated Paper

Our water removal cartridges use resin-impregnated cellulose media that is integrated with the super-absorbent, chemically treated polymers. When the water-contaminated oil goes through the pleated media, the polymers chemically lock onto the free and emulsified water molecules and trap them within the filter matrix while also allowing for clean and dry oil to easily pass through. At the same time, the pleated paper structure traps the solid contaminants like rust, dirt, and metallic wear particles. When the filter absorbs water, its pressure increases, and it works as a clear indicator that the element has saturated and it has reached the end of its service life.

At FilterMart, the water removal elements are used widely in the fuel transfer systems, turbine lubrication loops, and hydraulic power units. By actively stripping moisture and solids from the oils, these filters can easily prevent pump cavitation of the pump and decrease component friction while also extending the fluid replacement intervals.
