Our natural string wound options like bleached cotton and glass fiber give you excellent absorption and high temperature tolerance. The bleached cotton is used widely for potable water, neutral chemicals, and food-grade processing, while the glass fiber elements deal with high-temperature oils and aggressive chemical solutions where the synthetic material can easily degrade or melt. We have a synthetic fiber line which includes high purity polypropylene, polyester and nylon yarns. The polypropylene string-wound filters give exceptional chemical resistance to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents while also resisting biological growth in water applications. Polyester and nylon yarns provide high tensile strength and top-notch resistance to high-temperature petroleum products as well as aromatics.
